'Christmas in the Bahamas' is the theme for this year's Abaco Christmas Festival. Organisers are hoping for another professionally produced and fun-filled festival with food, arts and crafts, competitions and activities to keep children entertained. It’s due to be held on Saturday, December 8 from 11am to 10pm at BAIC Park in Marsh Harbour, Abaco. The Christmas float parade and dog parade contests that were both crowd pleasers in previous years are being reintroduced.
Sign up now for the contests through Abaco Tourist Office. Cash prizes will be presented to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners and judging will be based on creativity and who can best execute the festival’s theme. Other highlights include the Christmas tree lighting ceremony, gift presentation by Santa Claus, Junkanoo Parade, and a host of other activities.
