For the Southeast Bahamas
Weather: Partly sunny and windy with isolated showers today becoming fair tonight with few showers.

New Fast Ferry to Connect G.B., Abaco, Eleuthra and Nassau (via Eleuthera News)
The Government of The Bahamas and Bahamas Fast Ferries are in active discussions on the startup of service that will connect the Island of Grand Bahama, Abaco, Eleuthra & New Providence.

The Bahamas Department of Meterology has issued a Special Weather Warning with immediate effect until 4:45 p.m. EDT, Thursday August 6, 2013.
A special weather warning is in effect for New Providence and the Islands of Andros including its adjacent waters.
At 2:45 p.m. EDT radar and satellite data indicated a cluster of showers and thunderstorms moving slowly Westward over the warning are.
This system has produced thunderstorms and dangerous lighting, heavy downpours.
Residents in the warning areas and in particular low-lying area such as Pinewood Gardens should take the necessary action to protect their property.
Currently we are in the New Moon phase and as a result, flooding in inevitable due the alignment allows for a gravitation attraction on water bodies. Subsequently, the water table will move closer to the Earth's surface making it difficult for drainage.
